News about the new building of Switzerland Innovation Park Biel/Bienne

A good year after the foundation stone was laid, the shell of the new Switzerland Innovation Park Biel/Bienne was completed in July 2020. In a prime location, directly behind Biel’s main train station and only a few minutes’ walk from the center and the lake, the five-story building is now visible in full size. In the next 9 months, the interior will be completed step by step.

The great interest in the new building is particularly gratifying. At the time of the move-in date in early summer 2021, it was originally expected that the rental space would be used at 50 to 60%. The demand is so high that 80% of the capacity is already being reserved. The decision of the Bernese Grand Council can also be seen as a milestone. On September 3, 2020, the latter approved two loans for the rental agreements of the Bern University of Applied Sciences (BFH).
